Mrs. Belle Parson, aged 78, died at the home of her son, Charles Parson, of Ryerson Station, Friday, July 9, 1943, at 10:35 PM, after an illness of one week.

She was born June 2, 1865, in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Morris and Eliza Phillips Anderson, and spent all her life in the western part of Greene County.

Her husband, the late Vincent Parson, preceded her in death in 1920. Surviving are Mrs. Lawrence (Della) Durbin, of Rock Lick, W. Va.; Charles (Anna) Parson, of Ryerson Station; Mrs. Charles (Eliza) Woolard, of Hundred, W. Va.; Leslie (Della May) Parson, of West Finley; Mrs. Melbourne (Jessie) Blue, of Brave; George (Doris) Parson, of Pine Bank; Mrs. David (Minnie) Johnson, of Holbrook, RD, and Oscar Parson, of Portersville, Pa. Another daughter, Mrs. Grace Bowers, is deceased. Surviving brothers are: John Anderson, of Elm Grove, W. Va.; Spencer Anderson, of Wind Ridge; George Anderson, of Holbrook, RD, and Dorsey Anderson, of Washington, Pa. Also surviving are 55 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Brethren Church.
