He was born December 4, 1894, in Jackson Township, a son of Vincent and Belle Anderson Parson. His wife, Della Riggle Parson, whom he married August 4, 1920, survives.
Mr. Parson was a retired farmer and had lived most of his life in Richhill Township. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church at Calais, W. Va.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Della Parson, are four sons: Glenn Parson, of West Finley, R.D. 2, and Robert. Kenneth and Dale Parson, all of Canton, Ohio; three daughters, Lucille, wife of Dale Whipkey, of Carmichaels, Maxine, wife of Herman Hewitt, of Graysville. and Mary, wife of Glen Yost, of Shinnston, W. Va.; 24 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two brothers: Charles Parson, of Graysville, and George Parson, of Pine Bank; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Johnson, of Holbrook, R.D. 1.
Four sisters and one brother are deceased.
