Mrs. Amos Chilcotti who died at
Burnettsville answered the call of her
Saviour. Tuesday after years of suffering,
about ten of which she has been an invalid.
Mary J., daughter of Buford and Elizabeth
Banta, was born in Cass county, March 16,
1833, died at her home in Burnettsville,
Tuesday, April 19, 1910 aged. 77 years
1 month and 3 days. She lived in Cass
county,until 1870, when, with her husband
she moved to Burnettsville where she
resided until her death. She was mar-
ried to Amos Chilcott, April 2, l854,
to this union twelve children were
born, seven daughters and five sons.
Those who survive are: Mrs. Mary:
Hanna, Mrs. Mattie Duffey, Mrs. Jennie
Cochran and Charles Chilcottt of
Burnettsville, Mrs. Ella Cochran of
Monticello, Mrs. Minnie Gibson of
Curveton, ,Mrs. Estella Cochran of
Medford, Oregon. Mrs. Chilcott had
living at her death thirty-six grand,
children; and sixteen great grand
children. Deceased was a sister of
John Banta of this city who resides
on the Westside.
