Miss Brown Wed To E. F. King, Jr.
Waycross, GA ~~ Of cordial interest is the announcement made today by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brantley Brown of Waycross, formerly of Atlanta, of the marriage of their daughter, Mildred Hunt to Eugene F. King, Jr. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Harry L. McPherson of Atlanta. at 5:30 in the afternoon. The nuptials were performed by the Rev. E. D. Hale in the prsesence of both families and a few close friends.
The bride wore a becoming ensemble of shell pink and chose navy blue for her asscessories. To complete her costume, she wore a corsage of gardenias.
The birde's sisters are Mrs. John M. Barnes of Kingsland and Mrs. Harry L. McPherson of Atlanta.
The bride attended Russell High School and later gratuated from Marsh Draughon Business College.
After business college she was employed as a secretary with several lawyers in Atlanta, GA.

Mrs. Mildred B. King, age 84 of Chamblee, died July 14, 2000. A native Atlantian, Mrs. King was a member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church. She was gifted in needle work, cooking, drawing and enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Eugene F. King, Jr. Mrs. King is survived by her daughter Carol K. Garrett of Chamblee; grandson, Kevin E. Garrett of Chamblee; sister, Mrs. Evelyn B. McPherson of Atlanta and several nieces. Graveside services will be held Monday July 17 at 9:30 a.m. at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Westmoreland officiating the service. The family will receive family and friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Oglethorpe Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, Atlanta, GA.
