Mrs. Fern Stephenson of Rural Akron Dies--Funeral Wednesday
Mrs. Fern E. Stephenson, 66, route 3, Akron, died early Sunday morning at the Akron Community hospital after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized one day.
A lifelong Plymouth county resident. Mrs. Stephenson was born March 12, 1895. She was a resident of Preston township in recent years.
The former Fern E. Bullington and Ralph E. Stephenson were married Jan 15, 1921 in LeMars. He survives as do a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Plueger, and two grandchildren, Terry and Sharon Plueger of rural LeMars.
Also surviving are a sister and three brothers, Mrs. Hazel Walker of Lusk, Wyo., Mac Bullington of Portland, Ore., Roy and Robert Bullington, both of LeMars.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard T. and Esther McLain Bullington of Union township, and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mauer's funeral home. Rev. Charles Kruse of the Plymouth Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery.
