Mrs. Alice E. Reese, 71, of 16 Milton Avenue, Westminster, died Wednesday, August 12, 1959, at the Jordan rest home, East Green Street, Westminster, after a week's illness. She was the widow of George L. Reese, who died in 1955. She was a daughter of the late Henry R. and Clara Lippy Mathias and a member of St. John's (Leister's) Lutheran church.
Surviving are two brothers and four sisters, Horatio J. Mathias, St. Michael's; Harry J. Mathias, Mrs. John H. Martin, Mrs. George C. Brown, Mrs. Ernest H Bell and Mrs. John L. Schweigart, Westminster.
The funeral was conducted at the myers funeral home, Westminster, Saturday, August 15, at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Willis R. Brenneman, her pastor. Burial was in Leister's Church Cemetery.
