Elsie E. Johnson, 86, died Monday, July 12, 1999, at White Bear Lake, Minn. She was born Feb. 21, 1913, in Maple to Mary and Hemmeki Winkka. She resided in the Chicago, Ill., for 50 years and was a homemaker.
She is survived by five children, Corrine (Matt) Bien, Marion, Iowa; Sharon (Bill) Pray, Park Ridge, Ill.; Nancy (Rueben) Wiitala, Superior; Ken Johnson, Crystal Lake, Ill., and John (Anita) Johnson, White Bear Lake; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six sisters, Lillian Frank, Anaheim, Calif.; Aileen Godda, Helen (Harvey) Johnson and Irene (Glenn) Brozill, all of Wentworth; Mae (Peter) Schuler, Chicago, and Eliese Agacki and one brother, Ruben (Bonnie) Winkka, Osage, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edwin; three brothers, Oscar, Eino and Matt Winkka, and a sister, Senya Keeler.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Drake and Son Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, Ill.
