HUBBARDSVILLE - Robert F. Miles, 69, formerly of Oneida, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 19, 2007, in the Hamilton Manor Adult Home in Hubbardsville, where he had been a resident since September 2005.
He was born on June 21, 1938 in Oneida, the son of Earl and Grace Carver Miles.
In earlier years, Mr. Miles was employed with the former Lennox Furnace in Oneida.
Surviving is his close personal companion of 20 years, Dolores Roberson; a son, Robert F. Miles Jr. of Munnsville; three brothers, Claude and Herbert Miles, both of Oneida, and Michael Miles of California; three sisters, Dolores Eckhard of Oneida, Shirley Boyer of Oneida and Elizabeth Malone of Rome; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Raymond Miles; and a sister, Ella Mae Burch.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 24, at 12 noon from the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, with his niece, Diane Houle, officiating.
Spring interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon preceding the service.
