Herbert F. Miles, 71, of 130 North Main St., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence.
Herbert was born on March 12, 1941 in Oneida, a son of Earl W. and Grace E. Hudson Miles. A lifelong resident of the area, he attended the Oneida Schools.
He had been employed as a machinist with Oneida Ltd. for several years.
Herbert had attended the Oneida Believers Fellowship Church in Durhamville and had been a former member of the Oneida Moose Lodge No. 421.
Surviving are three daughters, Cindy, Lisa and Susan and their mother, the former Nancy Richmond; three sisters, Dolores Eckhard of Oneida, Elizabeth Malone of Rome and Shirley Boyer of Oneida; one brother, Michael Miles of California; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Raymond, Claude and Robert Miles, and one sister, Ella Mae Burch.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Sunday June 24, 2012 from the Oneida Believers Fellowship Church, Main Street, Durhamville, with Donald W. Houle presiding. Interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St. Oneida.
