Lora Hones
Mrs. Lora Hones, 71. of Jackson, passed away Saturday evening in a nursing home near Jackson where she had been a patient for some time. The daughter of the late Chester and Ida Martin. Mrs. Hones was born May 9, 1893, in Watervliet and was a member of the Watervliet Forty Year Club.
Surviving are two sons, Calvin, in the U.S. Army and stationed in Colorado, and Robert, of Jackson. Also one sister. Mrs. Elmer Grice of Watervliet, and nine grandchildren.
The body was brought to the Hutchins Funeral Home where the Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Requiem High Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Gerald Kittle, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Watervliet Cemetery.
