Park -- Frances Billinger, 96, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, Quinter. She was born Oct. 21, 1905, near Park to Nicholas and Catherine (Zimmerman) Mardian.

She married Otto Billinger on Aug. 20, 1929, in Park. He died Sept. 8, 1966.

She was a homemaker and cook for the public school in Park for several years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society, Park.

Survivors include a son, Donald Billinger, Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Virginia Kinderknecht, Park; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Mardian, eight sisters, Katie Salankey, Sister Liborius Mardian, Sister Austin Mardian, Frieda Mardian, twin sisters Dorothy and Elizabeth Mardian, Agnes Rueschhoff and Clementine Jansen.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, with Father Mark Berland officiating; burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery Fund or the Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, Quinter.
