Lillie Ann Bennett Thompson 83, passed away March 5, 2001.
She was attended at her deathbed by family members and sister Sue Dorsey.
She was born April 20, 1917, in Belgrade to Lydia (Dale) and Noah Bennett. She had 12 siblings. She attended school in Maudlow;.
She married Homer W. Thompson on Aug 1 1936, in Livingston.
She was a lifetime member of Grand Avenue Christian church.
She is remembered by her grandchildren for the many times she took them camping, hiking, skiing, motorcycle riding and rock hounding. She became an avid skier at the age of 50, and was one of the original memebers of BWAGS. She was loved deeply by her children and grandchildren, and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Homer Thompson of Bozeman; son, Gary Thomson of Kalispell; son, Walt (Les) Thompson of Great Falls; daughter Vera (Ron) Curring of Belgrade; five grandchildren; ReiAnne Thompson, Carrie Brancamp, Duane Thompson, Robert Leiva, and Doug Thompson; four great-children, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson, David Leiva.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Grand Avenue
