She was the daughter of Luther Okes and Sarah Lilly. Lillie married Richard Dolphus Cole on May 21, 1919 at Flat Top, Raleigh County, Wv.
Their children were Nelson Cole, Beecher Cole, Cordie Cole, Arbutus Cole and Alphonse Cole.

Lillie May Cole, 104, of Flat Top, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Tarpin Springs, Fla.
Born Oct. 10, 1897, at Flat Top, she was the daughter of the late Luther William Okes and Sarah Frances Lilly Okes.
Mrs. Cole was the oldest Lilly at the Lilly Family Reunion for the past 11 years and the oldest member of Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church.
She married Richard Dolphus Cole in 1919, who preceded her in death in 1951.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Beecher Cole; infant daughter, Frances Ellen; a daughter, Arbutus Fahey Domme-strup; three brothers, Ok-ey and Teddy of Flat Top and Joseph of Princeton; two sisters, Versie Adkins and Cla-rice Cline; and a great-grandson-in-law, Roger D. Wood Jr., who had been one of her caregivers.
She attributed her long life to obeying her parents. She was a legend in her own time, living in three centuries.
Survivors include four sons, Nelson and wife, Neva, of Shady Spring, Aiphon and wife, Rita, of Polk City, Fla., Kermit of Kenova and Polk City, and Ivan and wife, Wilma, of Manitau Beach, Mich.; a son-in-law, Aksel Dommestrup of Winter Haven, Fla.; a daughter, Cordie Nugen of Flat Top and Holiday, Fla., who along with her granddaughter, Rebecca Moody of Flat Top, were her caregivers; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with Elder Lewis Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Okes Family Cemetery, Flat Top.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Nugen, Rick Nugen, Charlie Moody, Lee Nugen, Larry Cole and Josh Spence.
