Jerry Lamar Kendrick Sr., 71 of Vivian, LA passed away Wednesday April 23, 2008 at Willis Knighton North. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 26, 2008 at 2 pm at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel, in Vivian, LA with Rev. H. L. Kendrick officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, the 25th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Jerry was a life long resident of Vivian.

He was a retired tool pusher from Noble Drilling Corporation. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of the American Legion, and he loved gardening, farming, and working his fish pond.

Mr. Kendrick was preceded in death by his parents, D. E. and Edith Kendrick, his brother D. E. Kendrick Jr., his sister Christine Wynn, and infant child Beverly.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda Rogers Kendrick of Vivian; 4 children, Kerry ONeal Kendrick and wife Kathy of Vivian, Therisa K. Brian and husband Ronnie of Vivian, Rhonda K. Allen and husband David of Oil City, and Jerry Lamar Kendrick Jr. and wife Toni of Vivian; 2 sisters, Janet and Edith Marie; 3 brothers Jimmy Dan, Donnie, and Ronnie; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Campbell, Charlie Clark, Wayne Kendrick, Dan Hill, Troy Hughes, and David Allen Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Potter, Robert Wall, Charles Rogers, and Jerry Barfoot.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Haynes and Dr. Stephen Taylor, and NCMC for the care of Jerry.
