Death takes Mrs. Mary Webb, 93, of this locality
Mrs. Mary Webb, 93 years of age passed away here early Sunday morning at her home, 319 South Indiana Street, after an illness of four months. Paralysis was given as cause of death which occurred about 1:30 o'clock.
The deceased was born to the late Daniel and Mary Weiss at the Weiss homestead located four and one half miles southwest of Warsaw in 1843. She was united in marriage to the late James T. Webb in December 1862 and for 30 years made her home one and one half miles south of the city on what is now known as the Zimmerman farm. Later she removed to her present residence on South Indiana Street where she lived until death.
To this union were born two sons, I. D. Webb, for many years a Warsaw druggist who died in 1906, Frank T. Webb who passed away in 1930 and one daughter Mrs. Florence Potter, who since her husband Dr. J. E. Potter, of Milford, died in 1924, has resided with her mother here. The deceased also is survived by two grandchildren, Walker (Wallace - ed.) W. (Webb - ed.) Potter of Fort Wayne and Mrs. O. N. Lentz of Nappanee.
Mrs. Webb was a member of the Methodist church and an honorary member of the Warsaw Reading Club in which she was affiliated for many years. She was the last of ten children, three sons and seven daughters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Webb Home. Rev. F.K. Doughtery will officiate. Burial service will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery. The body is in charge of the Kelly Funeral Home.
