"MRS. ELIZABETH EVANS DIES ON THURSDAY"
Well Known Woman Passed Away At Home of Daughter, Mrs. John Polk.
Mrs. Elizabeth Evans, wife of Samuel Evans, deceased, died Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the house of her daughter Mrs. John Polk, near Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Grove church on Sunday afternoon at one o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. James Royer.
Mrs. Evans died at the age of seventy seven from the effects of gall stones. She was born and raised near Warsaw and raised a family of thirteen children, all of whom are married, and most of whom are living south of Warsaw at present. The children are Mrs. Mary Grindle, Nelson Evans, Harvey Evans, Mrs. Sarah Keefer, Howard Evans, Mrs. John Polk and Mrs. Amy Lusuro, all living south of Warsaw and Jacob Evans, Clarence Evans and Harry Evans, of Warsaw, and Mrs. Minnie Schooley of Atwood and William Evans of near Sebastopol. Mrs. Elizabeth Evans also leaves a sister, Mrs. James T. Webb, who lives in Warsaw. Mrs. Evans has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. John Polk during the past two months.
Elizabeth (Weiss) Evans and several of her descendants are buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery (previously called Bates Cemetery).
