Amina May Winders was the second daughter born to Mary Jane Monnett and Jasper G. Hull. Throughout her life, she was better known as "May". The name "Amina" was given in honor of her mother's sister, Amina Monnett Tobias of Bucyrus, Ohio. May was a family person - her daughter and her son in law and their children, all of her sister and cousins and their children were important, and she always made time for family, immediate and extended.
