Margaret Berdina Vaughn, age 72, Hatley, died Friday, May 15, 1987 at Wausau Hospital Center.
She was born December 15, 1914 in the town of Hutchins, Shawano County, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Gena (Pollock) Clauss.
On November 10, 1933 Margaret was united in marriage to Earl Vaughn in Mattoon. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Jerald Vaughn, Acworth, GA and Dale Vaughn, Antigo; four daughters, Audrey (Walter) Buchkowski, Hatley, Norma (Oscar) Brenden, Wausau, Sharon (William) Stead, Hatley and Roberta (David) Halkoski, Schofield; two sisters, Lillian (Herbert) Wickman, Birnamwood and Joyce (Russell) Kielman, Bowler; one brother, Russell Clauss, Arizona; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two sons, Earl, Jr. and Keith, one daughter, Jeanette Janikowski and two sisters, Doris Allen and Marion Wickman.
Funeral services were held May 19, 1985 at St. John Lutheran Church, Mattoon. The Rev. Jeff Krueger officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, town of Hutchins.
