Mr. Driver was born June 22, 1877. He was the son of the late Samuel Driver and Anna Myers Driver. A member of the Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren he had helped build the church and had served in many capacities in the church. He was a member of the Board of Deacons for over 40 years.
He devoted his life to cattle raising and farming. In August, 1901, he was married to Jennie V. Wampler, who preceded him in death May 20, 1961.
He is survived by a son, Dr. Samuel F. Driver of Roanoke, a daughter, Mrs. William Murphy of Washington, D. C., a granddaughter and a great-grandson. Also surviving is a sister, Miss Lottie A. Driver of the Virginia Mennonite Home in Harrisonburg.
