Mrs. Flory, was a woman of rare qualities and was loved and esteemed by all who knew her. She was a fine type of Christian womanhood, possessing a large measure or kindness, and knew how to sympathize with all who were afflicted and distressed. The contribution which she has made to the community, and the benediction of the life upon all with whom she was associated, constitute a rich heritage, such As cannot be attributed to every life. The community has lost a devoted mother, and highly respected neighbor and citizen.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Middle River Church of the Brethren, of which she was a devoted and consistent member, in the presence of a large concourse of people. Her body was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
The services were conducted by the Rev. D. H. Zigler, of Broadway Va. Mr. Zigler, in his unique way, very beautifully pictured the end of a righteous life. The floral designs' were most beautiful, which is another expression of esteem.
Surviving her are three daughters, and four sons; Elsie, Anna, Earl and Sam, at home; Walter of Weyers Cave; the Rev. Bryon and Edna, a registered nurse, both of China, now at home on furlough. She also leaves three sisters and five brothers, and six grandchildren.
