Eldon Carl Meyer
Eldon Carl Meyer was born on Nov. 20, 1931, in Lincoln, Kan., and was a lifelong area resident.
He died April 4, 2001, at Veterans' Administration Hospital in Topeka.
He had memberships with St. John Lutheran Church; Disabled American Veterans, and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors are three sons, Jesse C. and Jeffrey E. of Lincoln, and John R. of Salina. He also had three daugahters, Judy Lenherr of Windom, Kan.; Jo Lisa Frye and Janna Sue Gunckle of Topeka. Other survivors are one brother, Raymond of Winfield, Kan., and three sisters, Doris Brodin, Florence Winter and Gladys Reinert, all of Wichita, and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.
Graveside services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, with military rites by the American Legion Post #165 and the VFW Post #7928.

LINCOLN -- Eldon Carl Meyer, 69, Lincoln, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Topeka.
Mr. Meyer was born Nov. 20, 1931, at rural Lincoln County and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a farmer-stockman and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Disabled American Veterans and National Rifle Association.
Survivors include three sons, Jesse C. and Jeffery E., both of Lincoln, and John R. of Salina; three daughters, Judy Lenherr of Windom, and Jo Lisa Frye and Janna Sue Gunckle, both of Topeka; a brother, Raymond of Winfield; three sisters, Doris Brodin, Florence Winter and Gladys Reinert, all of Wichita; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln, the Rev. Gerald Radtke officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Harrison-Hall Funeral Home, 111 E. Elm, Lincoln 67455.
The casket will remain closed.
