Eli Warner and
Sarepta Jackson.
He was married to
Carrie May Yarling
on 24 Dec 1900.
They had three children:
Mabel Warner (Little),
Esther Warner (Culberson),
Charles Dallas Warner.

DIES IN ELWOOD

Jesse Warner, 76, died Wednes-
day night at Mercy hospital, El-
wood, where he had been a Pa-
tient for two weeks. The Tipton
county native had been in poor
health for some time.
Rev. J. E. McCoy, minister of
Elwood's East Main Christian
church, will conduct funeral servi-
ces at 10 a. m. (CDT) Saturday in
Copher and Fesler Funeral home,
Elwood, with interment in Kemp-
ton cemetery followinf. Friends
are invited to call at the funeral
home up to the time of services.
The deceased, born in the vicin-
ity of Kempton on Dec. 13, 1879,
was the son of Eli and Sarepta
Warner. His wife, the former Miss
Carrie May Yarling, whom he
married Dec. 24, 1900, died Oct. 31,
1954.
From 1935, when Elwood's high
school gym was built, until his re-
tirement in September, 1954, the
deceased served as custodian of
the Panthers' athletie plant. As a
token of his fervent support of El-
wood teams, he was given a life-
time pass to all Elwood home
basketball gmes. He belonged to
the Elwood Eagles lodge.
Surviving children are Mrs. Ma
bel Little, of Elwood, and Mrs. Es-
ther Culberson, of Detroit. Also
still living are two brothers, Clyde
Warner and Harrell Warner, both
of Elwood; and two sisters, Mrs.
Hazel Major and Mrs. Elizabeth
Peters, also both of Elwood; five
grandchildren and six great grand-
children.
