CLAUDE WARNER DIES IN HOSPITAL
Funeral services for Claude Warner, Tipton county native who died Thursday night at
Mercy hospital, Elwood, are planned at 10 a.m. Monday at Copher and Fesler Funeral home in that city. Rev. Robert Sage, pastor of the First Baptist church there, will officiate. Burial will be in City cemetery, Elwood.
Warner, who was 68, had a brief illness. His body is lying in state at the funeral home.
Born Aug. 15, 1882, south of New Lancaster.
Warner married Miss Hazel Mourey, of Columbus, on Oct. 28, 1911.
He has lived all his life in the Elwood community and for years was employed as assistant foreman of the Pittsburg Plate Glass company. After the firm left Elwood, he was employed at City cemetery. Warner was a member of the Masonic lodge and the First Baptist church.
Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Iona Cline, of Yorktown; two sons, Larry Warner at home and Howard Warner, of Anderson; the mother, Mrs. Sarepta Warner; two grandchildren. Others are two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Major and Mrs. Happy Peters; three brothers, Clyde warner, a twin brother, and Jess and Harold Warner and several nieces and nephews.
