Myrta Marie Potts Loveless, wife of George W. Loveless, passed away suddenly at her home Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, October 3, 1925, at the age of 50 years, 5 months, and 4 days. She was born in Polk County, Iowa on April 29, 1875 to Nelson and Margaret Vaught Potts. She was married to George W. Loveless, March 11, 1894 at Ammador, Iowa. She became a member of the Christian Church March 4, 1896, and that time has lived a Chritian life. she moved to Kansas with her husband October 8, 1898 and lived there until February 12, 1915, after which they moved to Oklahoma and resided on the farm until her death.
To this union eleven children were born, seven girls and four boys of which three have preceded her in death. Those that are left to mourn her death are her husband, George W. Loveless; four sons, Harlie, Wilbur, Cecil and Chester; four daughters, Mrs. Launa Bass of Caldwell, Idaho; Mrs. Opal Chrz of Perry and Zella and Inabelle of the home address. Her mother, Mrs. Margaret Potts of Libertyville, Iowa; and three brothers, Frank, William and Charles Potts of Libertyville; Russell and Owen of Eldon, Iowa and sisters, Laura Shipler of Ottumwa, Iowa, Annie Miller of Delta, Iowa and Leoda of Fairfield, Iowa; and many other relatives.
It was with a light heart that Mrs. Loveless went about doing her daily work, day by day caring for her family. It was one of her highest aims in life to make those around her happy and feel cheerful, it was only a pleasure to her when Harlie and Wilbur were called to defend this great universe of ours. The honorable discharge that those boys returned home with brought her great joy. While it may be true that she was not a great church worker in the eyes of the people, it is true that she spent a great deal of her time with her own Sunday School class at their home.
Mrs. Loveles was loved by all who knew her, and since her death in the home, so many people have come to help the family who has lost a loving one, as she was a friend to everyone.
