Judith Lorraine Sherman Michael, age 61, of Rowlett, TX was born on February 19, 1949 and went home to be with her Savior on May 27, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard Allen Michael; precious daughter, Jennifer Lynn Michael; brothers, Rev. Bert (Diane) Sherman of Ohio, Ed (Goldie) Sherman of Indiana, Rev. Lowell (Barbara) Sherman of Texas, Terry (Julie) Sherman of Ohio; sisters, Janet Shipley of Ohio, Brenda (Gale) Dixon of Ohio, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Manuel Irvin and Dixie Gertrude Sherman; brothers, Rev. Bill (Eloise) Sherman, Benny (Mary) Sherman, Bob (Ilene) Sherman, Dickey Sherman; sisters, Betty Hill, Glendine (Roger) Fultz and Vonnie (Larry) Hampton. She also had special "adopted" children and grandchildren who have richly blessed her life. Judy accepted the Lord as her savior at the age of 13 and immediately began serving Him. She was an active member of New Heights Baptist Church of Wylie, TX where she used her gifts of teaching and singing to worship her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to witness for Christ and used her last days on earth to spread His Gospel. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 30, 2010 from 2PM-5PM at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Sachse. Funeral Service will be held on May 31, 2010 at 10AM at New Heights Baptist Church in Wylie, TX. Pastor Steve Foster will officiate the service. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
