ADA, Oct. 17 - Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lafayette Zion Lutheran church for Cyrus Long, 79, of Ada. Mr. Long died at 11:40 p.m. Monday in the Ada Nursing home following an illness of eight years. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Long was born Dec. 13, 1871 in Liberty-tp, Hardin-co. He married Mary Alice Lones, Apr. 7, 1894. Mrs. Long died in 1942.
Survivors include a son, Lester Long, Ada; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Riegle, Route 2, Elida; a brother, Charles N. Long; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Klingler and Mrs. Naomi Pierce, all of Route 2, Ada; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. M. A. Packer will officiate and burial will be in St. Paul Reform cemetery. Friends may call at the Lantz funeral home after Wednesday noon. The body will be removed to the church Thursday noon.
