Mrs. Ratliff was born September 8 1931, the daughter of the late Earl VanHoose and Ethel Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leander Ratliff,on August 28 1984.
Surviving are three sons, Edward Lee, Charlie, and Billy Ratliff all of Denver; six daughters, Mae Horn,Brenda J. Spears, Linda Faye Blair, and Leona Hannah, all of Auxier; and Glenia Pennington and Wanda Blair,both of Leander; four brothers, James R., Virgil,and Harry VanHoose, all of Thealka; and Lifis VanHoose,of Denver; four sisters, Nellie Lyons, of Marion, Ohio; Betty Jeffrey and Maxine VanHoose, both of West Virginia;and Christina VanHoose of Thealka; and 21 grandchildren,and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20 atJones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Melvin Blanton and Hobert Meade officiating.
Burial was in Ratliff Cemetery at Denver.
