Dorothy Helen Crall, daughter of Lyman Robert and Dora Breedlove Webb, was born, September 22, 1926 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, August 8, 2011, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-four years, ten months and seventeen days.

On August 17, 1947 in Decaturville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Arvel Willard Crall and to this union four children were born.

Together they shared forty years of marriage until his passing on August 14, 1987.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Margie Houk; a brother, Robert “Sigel” Webb and two sisters, Ollie Bowman and Betty Wheeler.

She is survived by a son, Willard Crall and wife Ida of Glasford, Illinois; two daughters, Bertha Burns and husband Duke and Karen Burns and husband Gary all of Camdenton, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Trinda Voight and husband Tim of Diana, Texas, Rob Crall and wife Nancy of McGuire AFB, New Jersey, Doug Rich and wife Leah of Macks Creek, Missouri, Michael Crall and wife Leann of Glasford, Illinois, Mandy Burns of Camdenton, Missouri, John Rich of Linn Creek, Missouri, Tony Burns and wife Chrissy of Camdenton, Missouri and Trista Gunn and husband Avery of Climax Springs, Missouri; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Hook of Hiawatha, Iowa and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Dorothy was a life-long resident of Camden County. When she was a young girl, her mother was employed at Ha Ha Tonka Castle, her family lived in the Water Tower. She grew up in the Decaturville area and attended Lonestar School. She loved her family and husband and dedicated her life to being a homemaker for her family.

Dorothy made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church.

She babysat in her home for over thirty years for many local children. In her spare time she enjoyed decorating birthday and wedding cakes, quilting and embroidery. She had spent many hours growing gardens and canning the vegetables that she had worked so hard to produce. She had a passion for growing beautiful flowers also. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home.
