Probable son of Hugh and Thankful (Kent) Sprague of Shapleigh, York Co., Maine. He married abt. 1837 Charlotte Hutchins, daughter of Stilson E. and Rebeccah D. Hutchins. He was a farmer and had three daughters. He lived in Whitefield, and also for a time in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.
