James "Jim" Michael Rennier, 46, of Route 1, Claremont died at his residence at 6:36 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, 1991.

Services will be held on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. George Mauck. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Life Flight.

Mr. Rennier was born in Richland County on August 29, 1945 to Ephraim J. Rennier and Helen (Kocher) Rennier.

He later married Donna L. Starwalt on June 30, 1979 in Stringtown, IL.

He was District Clerk for the Olney Post Office.

Mr. Rennier was a member of the Stringtown St. Joseph Catholic Church. He also was a Vietnam veteran with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and Olney Elks.

He is survived by Donna L. Rennier, of Claremont. He is also survived by three sons, Kevin Eugene Rennier, Eric James Rennier and Jason Michael Rennier, all of Claremont.

Mr. Rennier is also survived by two brothers, Robert Rennier, of Olney, and Melvin Rennier, of Claremont; five sisters, Mrs. David (Rita) Schafer, of Newton, Mrs. Jim (Delores) Hemrich, of Olney, Mrs. Jerry (Joanne) Bahl, of Claremont, Mrs. Herman (Mary) Volk, of Claremont and Mrs. Gene (Charlene) Schwager, of Claremont.

He is also survived by his parents, Ephraim J. and Helen Rennier, of Claremont, and 34 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rennier was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Kenny, and 12 nieces and nephews.
