She was the daughter of Abram and Mahala M. (Cantrell) Parris.

She married William Lafayette "Fate" Rosanbalm, in Sept of 1886, Claiborne Co, Tennessee.

After the birth of six sons this young family moved to Cass County, Missouri. They were farmers but he also secured a job teaching school.

Within a short time Nancy became sick and died. She was laid to rest in the neighborhood cemetery.

"Fate" and the boys returned to Tennessee. It was several years before they once again returned to Missouri.

She was the mother of six sons;
1. William Elmer b-14 July 1887
2. James Edward b-1 May 1889
3. John Landon b-12 May 1891
4. Charles Abram b-10 July 1893
5. Montie Jefferson b-8 Mar 1899
6. Benjamin Franklin b-12 Aug 1903
