Services for Mrs. Annie Morton, longtime Jones County resident were held at Kinney Chapel officiated by Rev. Ken Moore, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.
She married C.W. Morton in 1909 at Albany, Texas. The couple moved to Lueders in 1923 and then to Stamford in 1957.
Survived by three daughters - Mrs. Nancy Dillard, Mrs. Joe Taylor, Mrs. Sylba Black; eight sons - Elmer, Bill, Edgar, J.C., Wade, Earl, Norman and Murrice Morton; two brothers - J.C. and H.A. Gibson; one sister - Mrs. Jess Dean; 33 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
