Services for Cyrus Morton, 70, retired farmer, were held at Kinney Chapel with Rev. j.B. Chick, pastor of Calvary Baptist officiating. Mr. Morton was Baptist.

Cyrus Morton married Annie Gibson in 1909. The couple moved to Stamford in 1957 from Paris, Texas where they lived for a while after leaving Lueders.

Survived by eight sons - Elmer, Joe, Edgar, W.H., Wade, Earl, G.M. and Norman Morton; three daughters - Mrs. Nancy Dillard, Mrs. Joe W. Taylor, Mrs. Lawrence Black; three sisters - Mrs. Jack Clevenger; Mrs. Sam Clevenger, Mrs. Minnie Dailey; 29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
