Mat Pennington Called by Death

Mat Pennington 72, died Monday
afternoon at his home on route
three, Jerome. He was born on
Christmas day of 1871 in Lawrence
county, Mo.,and came to this vicinity
in 1915. Mr. Pennington recently
moved to Jerome from Hansen.
He married Stella Johnson Aug.8,1986,
and she preceded him in death in 1936.
A son, Ray Pennington, died in 1935.
Surviving relatives are
four sons,Jim and Ross Pennington,both of Jerome;
Russel Pennington, Kimberly; Pvt.Claude Pennington,
Camp White.Oregon., and five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Chrisman, Shoshone: Mrs. Goldie Hawkins, Twin Falls;
Miss. Barbara Pennington, Jerome: Mrs. Geneva Ollred,
Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Daisy White, Kimberly.
He also leaves 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.Dolly Burkholder, Miss Jennie Pennington, both of St. Louis Mo., and a brother Jesse Pennington, Kimberly.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the White
mortuary chapel with Rev. E.L. White officiating.
Interment will be in Twin Falls cemetery.

Mat Pennington 72, died Monday
