Mrs. Tharp died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at her home. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, and worked as custodian for Barlow Elementary School and the Ballard County School System.
Surviving are two sons, Freddie Howle Tanner and Jimmy Barkett Tanner, both of Barlow; two brothers, Harmon Foster Negley and Ehlman Farley Negley, both of Barlow; four grandchildren, Blake Tanner, Zack Tanner, Trent Tanner, all of Barlow, Francie Tanner Master of Lexington; and three great-grandchildren, Sam Tanner, Kayla Tanner and Lexi Tanner, all of Barlow.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Howle Tanner; her second husband, A.J. Tharp; one sister, Gladna Freida Heathcock; one brother, James Farrow Negley, and her parents, Samuel Greg Negley and James Ella (Brookings) Negley.
