Marion married Mildred (Bond) 2 Nov 1935 in Kelso, Cowlitz county, Washington. Together they had 3 children two daughters and a son.

60 YEARS WITH MILDRED & MARION HOWARD
November 2, 1935 was the day Mildred Bond wed Marion Howard in Kelso Washington. They made their home on the "Johnson Place" in Toutle, WA.
On June 10, 1937 they were blessed by the arrival of a son Larry Eugene.
In 1938 Marion's job, operating a shingle mill, brought this young family to the town of Skamokaway, WA (an Indian name which translates to "Smoke on Water".
1942 brought the young Howard family to Corvallis, Oregon. Marion worked for St John's Motor Express driving a truck for an army project. The family received army ration cards to get food items.
After six weeks St. John's Motor Express moved the Howard family to Vancouver, WA where they lived for one year. A transfer brought them to Kennewick, WA for the following year. In Kennewick, Mildred busied herself with raising their son and picking grapes and fruit.
July of 1944 found the Howard in Weippe, Idaho. Marion was now driving a truck to haul logs, and lumber. A job he would need to bring up his growing family. On March 20, 1945 Mildred gave birth to their daughter, Sandra Lee.
The years ahead would take this family of four to Kelso, WA in 1949, and then to a farm at Castle Rock, WA in 1950. Marion worked at the Cresent Shingle Mill in Kelso, WA as well as selling milk from his dairy cows on the farm to Highland Dairy in Longview, WA
Another move in 1955 brought the Howards to another dairy farm in Toledo, WA where chickens and cucumbers were also grown. And on February 14, 1957, out of the cabbage patch, was born their 3rd child Deborah Ann. Larry now 20 and Sandy 12, Marion drove log truck and Mildred worked at a restaurant in Winlock.
In 1961 a move was made to Winlock. Mildred, with another partner owned and operated "Mom's Cafe" in Napavine, WA
Mildred, Marion and Debbie moved to Napavine, WA in 1963; Larry and Sandy both had married and moved out.
Marion went to work on a chicken farm in Napavine in 1966. Mildred went to work for "Spiffy's Restaurant south of Chehalis in 1970, where her cinnamon rolls became famous. Debbie, too, has started her own family.
Both retiring and moving to Tenino, WA in 1982 where they live on the "Sunshine Herb Farm" with daughter Sandy and her husband Jack.
Mildred and Marion have enjoyed 60 happy years together. Sharing it with many friends and family. They have 3 Children, and their children's spouses are their children too. There family is blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In 1935 the cost for Mildred and Marion's wedding rings was $35.00. For Mildred's wedding clothes (including the dress, coat, shoes, silk pajamas and undergarments) came to a grand total of $43.00
