Frances was an avid crafter, beginning with sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet and ceramics; later adding needlepoint, fabric painting and quilting.
Frances was married to her "soul-mate" Thomas G. Ferrarese for 70 years. They had two daughters.
Frances, a devoted wife and mother, enjoyed entertaining and visiting with family and friends. She was a very accomplished cook and seamstress. She made the best pasta sauce, canned the best tuna and salmon, and cured the best olives in the country. She enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.
Upon retirement, they traveled extensively around America, and for many years spent summers at Oregon and Washington, and wintered at the California desert. Frances was an active member of San Joaquin Valley Quilters Guild, and La Rouge Chapeau (Red Hat Society) of Clovis.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep in Fresno on Monday, June 14, 2010, at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, four uncles, two aunts, three older sisters, and three older brothers. She is survived by her two children, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
