John Junior Adams, known as "Junior", was the son of John Elbert Adams and Rosie Lee Winkles Adams. Junior was born in Madison County, Alabama, near Owens Cross Roads; however, he relocated to Opelika in the late 1930's.

He married Lillie Mae Guy; and to this union was born children, including Jackie, Owsley Eugene, Patricia, and Toby Wayne.

At the time of his death, Junior was the last surviving child of John & Rosie Adams.
