A veteran of World War I, having served with the 58th Pioneer Infantry Division, Mr. Kerr was gassed while fighting in France.
A son of the late Rufus and Mary Jane Wright Kerr, the deceased was born Sept. 24, 1892 in Greene County, where he spent most of his life. He never married.
Surviving Mr. Kerr are three sisters, Mrs. George (Zella) Staggers of Holbrook, R. D. 1 and Mrs. Samuel (Frances) Whipkey and Mrs. Oscar (Urbana) Headley, both of Graysville, R. D. 1, and four brothers, John Kerr of Holbrook, R. D. 1; George Kerr, of Waynesburg, R. D. 5; Lawrence Kerr of Khedive, and Earl Kerr of Wind Ridge.
