J. Stephen Hutchinson, 67, of 704 S. 18th, Quincy, formerly of Ewing, died at 2:10 p.m. Friday (April 7, 1978) in St. Mary Hospital where he had been a patient for four days. He had been ill for many years. Mr. Hutchinson was born on May 6, 1910, at Ewing, a son of Milton and C. Annie Gruber Hutchinson. He was married on June 17, 1961, to Unabell "Tudy" Wardlow. They farmed at Ewing until three years ago when they moved to Quincy. Surviving are the wife; a step-grandson, Troy Jenkins, whom they raised; and a sister, Mrs. Hollie Garnett Keeling of New Bloomfield, Mo. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Ball-Coder Funeral Home here with the Rev. Wilbur Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing Masonic Cemetery.
