Funeral services were held in the Ewing Baptist church Friday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Hutchison, with Rev. V. O. Graves in charge. Anna Christian, daughter of Stephen A. and Ella Duncan Gruber, was born April 2, 1889 and departed this life June 15, 1948. She accepted Christ in early girlhood and held membership at Mt. Olivet Baptist church. Most of her 59 years were spent in Missouri. For a short time the family lived at Greeley, Colo., where, on Oct. 30, 1907 she was married to Milton M. Hutchison who passed away Oct. 1, 1935. They also made their home near Ewing, and a few years in Iowa and Illinois. Survivors include her son and daughter, John Steven, and Garnet Frances Hutchison with whom she made her home. She also leaves five sisters and two brothers, being the first of a large family to step over the border. They are: Charles Gruber of Lodi, Colo.; Mrs. Bess Woodworth and Mrs. Ella Doscher of Ewing; Mrs. Josie Cruikshank of Colorado; Mrs. Mary King of Lewistown; Mrs. Pearl Samuels of San Diego, Calif., and Ben Gruber, of Tracy, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Willows had charge of the funeral music. Pall bearers were: Roscoe Sharpe, Steve Vaughn, Dedrick Prisner, Emerson Garkie, Clarence and Roscoe Shires. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
