Funeral services for Mrs. Fred King will be held Friday, April 15, at the First Baptist church in Lewistown, with the Rev. Loyle Van Horn in charge. Music will be furnished by Miss Bonnie Van Meter with Mrs. Veta Phillips at the organ. Pall bearers will be Leo Grim, Albert Dye, J. W. Van Meter, Garrett Haines, Jerry Dance and Forrest Decker. Burial will be in the Ewing cemetery. Mrs. King died Tuesday, April 12, in Blessing hospital in Quincy. Mary Catherine King, the daughter of Stephen and Ella Nora Duncan Gruber, was born near Benjamin, on November 28, 1885. She was united in marriage to Fred King on January 1, 1907. Mr. King preceded her in death. Mrs. King was a member of the Lewistown Baptist church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Bierbower of Quincy; a brother, Ben Gruber of Valley Springs, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Dosier of Ewing, Mrs. Josie Cruikshank of Brush, Calif., and Mrs. Pearl Emery of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and other relatives.
