Houlka – Ted Brown Sr., 81, of Houlka Passed away on April 8, 1997 at Trace Regional Hospital of complications due to lung cancer.
Funeral services were held on April 10 at Houlka Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of Chickasaw County, Brown was born on Dec. 11, 1915 to the late Dudley Russell Brown and the late Lula Kirkpatrick Brown. He was a retired care salesman and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U S Army. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Houston, who passed away on Feb. 5, 1995.
He is survived by one son, Ted Brown Jr. of Houlka; one sister, Maylene White of Southaven; one brother, Charles Brown of Farmers Branch, Tx.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included T J Brown, Andy Brown, Bradley McDonald, Terry Houston, Matt Brown and Archie Brown.
