Memorial Services For Martha Luebke -

Martha Luebke, nee Dammann, was born on Prairie Creek, Merrick County, Nebraska to Claus and Minna Dammann on September 9, 1882. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed on April 11, 1897.

On the 25th day of July 1900, she was united in marriage to August Luebke. To this union 2 sons and one daughter were born. They made their home on a farm west of Worms. In 1912 they moved to Palmer where they lived some 40 years. About 10 years ago they moved to Battle Creek, Nebraska, where they lived until August 1960, when they returned to Palmer and made their home in the Coolidge Rest Home.

On February 12 she was taken to Lutheran Memorial Hospital, where she underwent surgery on February 17. Apparently she was on the way to recovery, but the Lord willed it otherwise. She peacefully passed away Tuesday morning February 27, 1962. She attained the age of 79 years, 4 months and 18 days.

Her husband August preceded her in death, April 21, 1961. Also preceding her in death was her son, Armin, in 1955, her parents, one sister and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Hilda Praeuner, of Battle Creek, Nebr.; her son Ed, a teacher in Zion Lutheran School, Wisner, Nebr., 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Dammann of Worms; four sisters: Milda Simonson of Palmer, Hertha Teng of St. Libory, Helen Sarver of Long Island, N.Y., and Minnie Furgesen of McAllen, Texas. Also mourning her passing are a host of other relatives and friends.
