Charles Orton
NORTH OGDEN - Charles LeRoy Orton, 51, of 2724 N. 700 East St., died last night in St. Benedict's Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Orton had been a farmer and was later employed by Weber County Schools, retiring in 1952. He was attending Henager School of Business when he became ill. he was a member of the LDS Church and an elder in the North Ogden First Ward. He was born Dec 25, 1903, in North Ogden, a son fo Charles E. and Zina May Chugg Orton. In September, 1923, he married Thelma Merle Stimposn. They were later divorced.

Surviving are three sons, Douglas L. Orton, Ogden, Blaine G. and Rex Dale Orton, North Ogden; his former wife, North Ogden, his parents, North Ogden; three grandchildren, the following brothers and sisters: Joseph R. Orton, Monterey Park, Calif.; Raymond M. Orton, Mrs. Rhea L. Warby; Mrs. Larry (Charlene) Wayman and Glen L. Orton, Ogden, and Marcus J. Orton, North Ogden; Mrs. Weldon A. (Lucille) Hales, South Ogden; Mrs. Roland (Clara) Corry, Saudi, Arabia.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the LDS North Ogden First Ward, with Arthur Campbell, bishop's counselor, officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel, 3408 Washington Blvd., tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 1 p.m. Interment will be in North Ogden Cemetery.
