He is the son of John Turner Drake and Virginia Evelyn Anderson.

Earnest LaFayette Drake, Cullman Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 11:00 a.m. for Earnest Drake, 78, at Moss Service Funeral Home Cullman, Alabama with internment following at Holly Pond Cemetery. Mr. Drake died last Sunday. He is survived by six sons; Floyd, D. C., Archie, Elbert, Marion, Hubert; and two daughters, Julie and Ruby Drake.
