St. James, Minn. – Funeral services for LeRoy B. Bartleman, 84, St. James, Minn., will be 10 a.m. Friday at the St. James Catholic Church with burial at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Estherville. He died at his home Tuesday [April 27, 1976].
Mr. Bartleman was born May 1, 1891 at Dysart and attended Iowa Barber College at Sioux City. He was married to Margaret Evans Feb. 14, 1916 at Estherville. They lived in Rossie, then in Graettinger for 18 years. They moved to St. James in 1940 and he retired from barbering in 1966. He was a member of St. James City Band, the Master Barber's Association and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Dr. Donald Bartleman, Elmhurst, Ill.; and Stanley Bartleman, Rochester, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Roman (Dorothy) Hemann, Fort Dodge; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.
Friends may call at the Jensen Funeral Home, St. James from 2 until 9 p.m. Thursday and at 9 a.m. Friday. The Christian Mothers prayer will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
