Herman Redmon
Weaverville - Herman Redmon, 85, formerly of Weaverville, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003.
Mr. Redmon was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Buncombe County where he lived all of his life. Herman retired from Citizens Hardware after 29 years of service. He was a son of the late Joseph B. and Ivory Henderson Redmon and the husband of Robena Laughter Redmon, who died in 1995.
Surviving are his children, Mary I. Stevens, Pamela Buchholz, Rex Herman Redmon, Grant Redmon, Robert Phillip Redmon and Thomas Redmon; sister, Ada Walker; brothers, Ronald and Arthur Redmon; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will be at a later date in West Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
