A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Ivory Sue Henderson Redmon and was the wife of the late Elmer Walker.
She is also preceded in death by her son, Charles P. Redmon, and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her sons, Jack H. Walker and his wife, Jolene, and James L. Walker and his wife, Loretta, all of Asheville; brothers, Arthur and Ronald Redmon, both of Asheville;
Grandchildren, Brenda Cloer and her husband, Jeff, of Franklin, Janet Sheppard of Asheville and Jackie Cantrell and her husband, Roger, of Leicester; and five great-grandchildren.
