Kathryn McArron Smoot memorial service Friday: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice, Tulsa World (OK) - August 27, 1992

A memorial service for Kathryn McArron Smoot, a Tulsa civic leader, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church.

Mrs. Smoot, 73, died Tuesday. She was the widow of Dr. J.A. Smoot, a Tulsa osteopathic physician.

A native of Long Lane, Mo., Mrs. Smoot attended Emporia (Kan.) State Teachers College and took nursing training at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was a senior board member of Tulsa Psychiatric Center and Tulsa Boys Home, and former president of Downtown Optimist Auxiliary and Tulsa Osteopathic Association Auxiliary. She was a member of First Christian Church, Oaks Country Club and Oklahoma Osteopathic Association Auxiliary.

Survivors are four daughters, Dr. Susan S. Staudt and Sammye S. Eng, both of Tulsa, Paula S. Ogg of Edina, Minn., and Ashley S. Sherinian of Glendale, Ariz.; a brother, Terence Bennett McArron of San Diego; and five grandchildren.

Stanleys Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Friends are contributing to Planned Parenthood of Northeast Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
